The storm hovering over ‘To The Last Bullet,’ the book based on factual incidents which took place on 26/11, written by the widow of slain martyr Ashok Kamate (former additional commissioner of Police, Mumbai) Vinita Kamate, has sold out it within a day after the book was released in Mumbai on Thursday.
‘To the Last Bullet’ has been published by the city based Amey Publication. After witnessing the huge response for Vinita’s book, publishers have started getting calls from people all over the country demanding more copies of the book. There are people who want this book translated in regional as well as other foreign languages to let the world know about the catastrophe of 26/11.
The publisher of the Amey Prakashan, Ulhas Latkar said,
This book is the extraordinary story of Ashok Kamte, former additional commissioner of police, East Region, Mumbai who died fighting against terrorists during the 26/11 attacks on Mumbai.
It is a true and inspiring story of one of the most courageous and promising Indian police Service (IPS) officers. And it is written straight from the heart by his wife, Vinita.
He added
The book traces the life and career of this fearless officer who showed exemplary valor even during his postings in the naxal-affected Bhandara, Satara, Sangli, Solapur districts and later on in Mumbai. It brings out details of his life which could inspire many youngsters.
When questioned about the controversies surrounding ‘To the Last Bullet’ Latkar said that the books says that the Joint Commissioner of Police(crime), Rakesh Maria had not disclosed Kamate’s location during the ordeal and also concealed the time when Kamte was shot dead.
It is also believed that repeated calls made by the three officers Ashok Kamte, Vijay Salaskar and Hement Karkare who were fighting the terrorist at different locations, were left unanswered. Vinita Kamte has got all the information, which was hidden from her, through the RTI act which has disclosed the bitter truth.

Hello there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
