“Social Change and development has been a part and parcel in the changes of Pune University and most of the contribution done to this cause is by women,” said acting Vice Chancellor of University of Pune, Dr Arun Adsool. The department of Elders and the Expansion of Knowledge of Pune University had organized one day workshop to reinforce the empowerment of women.
Dr, Adsool was speaking at the inauguration of the workshop.
Dr Adsool said that
if the physical and mental health of women is preserved, then only the health of society will be safe. For this, women of our country need to be strong and active so as to shoulder on the responsibility of the family and society in short.
The workshop was organized by the head of the department Dr. Bhumik Deshmukh and the program was convened by Dr Satish Shursath , Dr. Navanath Tupe and Dr Vilas Adhav.
At the time of summing up the program, Management Council president Mr T. N. Kanade said that
women should not forget that they are the pillar and back bone of the country and hence should be responsible towards their duties to instill the good values to their children.
