The traffic police have fined around 1,100 people for unnecessary honking at traffic signals in last four days. The drive is being held in Pimpri-Chinchwad and various parts of city.
According to deputy commissioner of police the honking at traffic signals was out of control that forces to break the traffic signals.
To avoid this honking, traffic police authority has positioned the police in civic dress to observe honking at signals. Police concluded that at unmanned junctions, cars and buses were blamed for honking excessively. The Drive will remain for upcoming few weeks.
