About 400 flats were handed over to slum dwellers of the Nigdi scheme by the district guardian minister Ajit Pawar under the scheme of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) on Saturday.
Pawar said that the person who received the houses should maintain their surroundings cleanly and neatl. He also appealed to people not to sold or give these houses on rent.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Aparna Doke, MLA Vilas Lande, deputy mayor Sharad Borhade, MLC Laxman Jagtap, municipal commissioner Ashish Sharma, standing committee, chairman, Dnyaneshwar Bhalerao and others were present on the occasion.
