If people driving vehicles in the city breach traffic laws more than thrice, their driving license will be suspended for up to six months. The newly made law will be put into effect from December 11.
The traffic law violators will be monitored by the city police with the help of country’s first hi-tech mobile governance project (Trafficop), said Manoj Patil, deputy commissioner of police (traffic). He was speaking with the reporters here in the city on Friday.
With ‘Trafficop’, we can now maintain a detailed record of traffic offences. We have already started collecting fines and issuing receipts on the spot. If an individual is caught for the fourth time, Traffi cop will instruct the cop to seize the driving license
he said.
The person violating traffic rules will be provided with temporary license which will be valid for only 15 days from the date of issuing the temporary license. During these 15 days , the person who has violated the law will have to go to the regional transport office(RTO) to put forward their say, failing to do so, his/ her license will be suspended for a period of six months, said Patil.

This can be counted as an ammendment which will cause more pain to the common man.
It will just help the traffic police who are already mugging the common man, even if you produce every required document. So now they will threaten us and get more money out of us!!
If laws are really to be forced properly for the intended purpose , please put robots to work as the real hi tec machines and remove all the traffic police from duty,instead of givinh them these hi tech machines in hand!
