National Association of Software and Service Companies ( Nasscom) had organized a day long session for start ups to showcase their innovation at the expo on Tuesday in the city. The exhibition was aimed at promoting the talent and providing them the right platform to accelerate their career in the Telecommunication industry.
Six start-up budding businesses presented their innovations to a panel of experts and requested that they be provided with certain funding in the early stage of their ventures to start their business confidently in today’s competitive market.
Ashwin Raghuraman, Nasscom senior manager for Innovation Initiative, while interacting with Media person in the city said that the details of the presentation will be held back until the final results are declared in Mumbai next year.
He further informed that the three out of the six innovations came from Telecom and telecom related services.
The other start ups who presented their plan for different reasons such as Rural Shores presented a plan that would help country’s rural hinterland by creating a network of business processing outsourcing while Tring M. put forth its plan which aims at provided value added services to mobile phone users in the country. Urja presented a plan that will make easy pre-call inserts, Raghuraman explained.
He said that the common problem faced by every start up business men is to provide the early stage funding. Nasscom has helped many budding businessmen to start their own businesses in the country and still do provide certain funds to the start- ups.
In addition to the start up round which took place in the city, Nasscom innovation showcase will see presentations coming from three more categories including innovations based on core technologies, market facing innovation which will have an impact on client businesses and internal process innovation which will improve the efficiency of organisational processes
