The University of Alaska, the US based University, is coming all the way to Pune to woo the students to take up further studies in United States. The representatives of this university have organized sessions for students from all the age groups at Abasaheb Garware College between 5 pm and 8 pm on Thursday, 3 Nov.
The University of Pune has already singed an agreement with Fairbanks called ‘city sister’ in 2005. With this agreement, now students from Pune can study in the US for minimal fees.
Alaska University is situated in the heart of Alaska is well known for its research activities-including the thesis on the consequences of the climate change on the world around.
This University offers courses in all the discipline such as 28 certificates and 167 degrees ranging from bachelor’s degree to post-doctoral research. It has around 9,828 students from the US and other countries studying in the University at present.
From the city there are around 21 students who have taken admission for the post-graduate and graduate courses in the Alaska University since the year 2005.
