Pune: Ever wondered of cruising out to Mumbai in a MSRTC air-conditioned bus at a cheaper rate?
Can’t believe us? In order to make the traveling experience between Pune & Mumbai more comfortable and financially viable, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, (MSRTC), has decided to roll out the AC bus in its existing line of asiad buses.
This new asiad will run on the busy Pune-Mumbai route and would have accommodate 39 passengers only making the traveling efficient and without hassle & bustle.
The MSRTC can take a bow for being the first state transportation in the country to chug out AC asiad buses. It will take few more months actually for the services to start as the first lot of the buses has been ordered.
To supplement you about the facts, the MSRCT runs daily Volvo (Shivneri) services to Mumbai. With the introduction of the AC asiad buses, chances are that the number of people taking MSRTC services shall grow avidly.
MSRTC expects that this new line of buses will add another dimension to the traveling needs of the masses and also it will keep in check the illegal transport operators.
“The proposal is in the pipeline and we are awaiting confirmation from the headquarters.”
Divisional controller of MSRTC, Pune division, Mr. Shivaji Sonawane was stated as saying.
For MSRTC, the Pune-Mumbai route is the busiest route as not less than 70 Volvo buses make their trips and also the existing asiad line of buses takes a Mumbai road from Pune railway station every 15 minutes.
We at Punesite.com hope for this ambitious project to be zinged out shortly & implemented in its correct format!

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say that you’ve done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super fast for me on Firefox. Excellent Blog!
