I definitely think its way on its closure. I have visited it before, its not as great as to be a real amusement park but for small kids its something better than nothing. So whenever we have kids around there is a trip to Appu Ghar. Before there was a nominal entry fee and pay per ride whichever the kid feels interesting and which was OK. The maintenance was OK at least the grass was cut even, 3-4 stalls for eatery and above all rides were OK.

I visited recently on saturday evening and was expecting a rush as before. There was a rush at the ticket counter but to my surprise not inside Appu Ghar. The ticket counter had a queue just because the fee structure is changed and charged heavily as compared to quality of appu ghar. Then there are different criteria’s of tickets which the counter person has to explain and it takes a little time. People think over it and buy tickets accordingly. One person takes around 3-5 minutes to buy tickets, such a shame, no proper instructions and in the end the cost is too much.

I don’t understand for grownups there are hardly any rides, may be couple of them and then they are charging 120 Rs per person. just for entry its 50 bucks and under 4 ft and above 2 ft its 80 rs. For 2 feeters there are again couple of rides. With all this all rides are free except one with the dhadak gadi, I guess it uses more electricity. The maintenance has dropped down. Grass is grown up everywhere and you fear for snakes. As somebody wrote the workers are as if govt employees who do not want to do any work.

Overall, it looks like end of road for appu ghar. The management team is trying hard for people not to visit appu ghar anymore, shut it down, and sell the land to big builder and in the process make money at once.
