City needs more water supply that the elected members of the Pune Municipal Corporation have directed to the civic administration to arrange for more water tankers to solve the problem of water shortage and water cut in the city.
Nilesh Nikam, standing committee chairman said that the strict instructions have been given to the officials to arrange enough number of water tankers through ward offices. While, Shiv Sena demanded for the water tankers for the citizens with free of cost as the citizens are already paying taxes.
Because of the environment fallout, rain is delayed this year and led to 40 percent water cut in the city but the contribution of the civic administration in water management cannot be ruled out. Prashant Badhe, Sena Deputy City President said that only puneties are facing water problem.
However, the Bhartiya Janata Party has demanded for sufficient tankers supplying water in the areas of Karvenagar, which is badly facing the water problem.
City is facing water problem very badly that the citizens have decided to shell out their money from their pockets. Sandeep Khardekar of the BJP said that they will stop all the tankers runing in the city if the problem is not solved by the Wednesday.

I would like to request the PMC to Trap Rainwater and water from other sources by drilling 2 inches wide holes with 6ft deep and 6ft gap in drainage cannals. Now a day the water is just dumping to river and no water is trapping in the ground resulting dry land as well as resulting in drought, and flood during rainy season. This will enhance the greenery of the land, oxygen to the roots of plants and so fertile.
