A city attacked by terrorists on Valentine’s Day, Pune has mourned the loss of lives and is almost back on and adapting to the change. The government of Maharashtra has granted the owners of the bakery a sum of money to help them get back up, while the owners have promised to symbolically reopen on Independence Day, the 15th of August.
While we wait to see German Bakery’s new look unveiled, news reports are circulating that Abdul Bawa Samad the prime suspect in the German Bakery Blast case has been let out on bail. On Tuesday, 15th June, the police were forced to release him after they came up with no evidence to back their arrest. This just goes to show how far behind our police department is on enforcing the law the “right” way.
Hailing form Bhatkal, Karnataka, Samad’s name was added to the list of the Pune German bakery blast case suspects by the Anti-Terrorism squad of Maharastra. His lawyer, Mubin Solkar pointed to out that Samad’s name was not included in the First Information Report copy while the prosection failed to provide evidence of Samad’s involvement in the case.
Forensics and the proper collection of evidence to support their arrest in Court is vital as it is what brings about fair justice in a country whose residents are protected by the constitution as innocent until proven guilty. In 1960, the government abolished jury trials, as they were susceptible to media and public influence. Today justices are holding on to their oath of protecting citizens as innocent until proven guilty. Such is the power of the Indian Supreme Independent Judiciary.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard.
