Bajaj lets the good times roll!

Just when you thought that it was safe to walk the streets again, Bajaj and Kawasaki made a new commitment together. Bajaj has been equipping Indian motorists with two wheelers since before we even got independence. A company with the ever famous slogan- “Hamara Bajaj”, has seen its own share of highs and lows in the Auto Industry. Unafraid to think outside the box and create independently, Rajiv Bajaj, the managing director of Bajaj Auto, went out on a limb and brought quality motorbikes to the Indian Market.

Bajaj Kawasaki Ninja 250R Having worked at Kawasaki, Japan (amongst other companies) in the past before joining his father’s company, Bajaj’s confidence is undeniable. In the past, he stood firm for what he believed would work and also been grounded enough to realize what wasn’t working when the market was low. With the ideal of ‘Improvement’ being his job, Bajaj sees talent for what it is. Every time a new bike is ready to come out, he rolls it out and lets it rip.

On the 23rd of April, Bajaj marked another landmark when they officially tied the knot with Kawasaki. They will be bringing showcasing the new Kawasaki at the Bajaj Probiking showrooms across the country. Better known as the ‘Quarter Liter Kwacker’, this high end bike is already visible on the streets.

Having decided to bring their own to India, the Japanese manufacturer, has decided to import the bikes as ‘Complete Knocked Down’ kits and have them locally assembled at Bajaj’s auto-plant at Chakan. Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd, has now established a subsidiary in India known as India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. They ofcourse come with the vision of introducing sport, supersport and cruiser models to the streets of India.

Now imagine this – a 249cc Parallel Twin engine that purrs, with sturdy strength at 320lbs, a scintillating body that moves with finesse and kisses the road with firm stability – a bike that can run a quarter mile in 15.58 seconds at 81.98 mph. Are you ready for the Kawasaki Ninja 250R??!
