Aspiring to promote the concept of family doctors, the Shivajinagar Doctors Association has started “Best family doctor of Pune award, members of the association said.
These members were speaking at a press meet organized at the Pune Union of Working Journalists (PUWJ) on Monday. Organization’s president R B Zine and association member Shailesh Patil were also present on the occasion.
The concept of a family is very wide and diverse as it has been going on for past ages. The treatment in case of a family is not limited only to treating a patient; it has got to deal with the attachments in a family. We want to promote this concept.
Patil said.
He further added that we don’t believe in the myth that Doctor has no emotional attachments with his/her patients, rather Doctors should develop strong bound with them.
A committee of experts has designed 40 parameters to judge family doctors. The award will be given on November 24.

No, they come together whenever these folks get time. They put different ides together. What you can do is better approach the association in person that would be better an option.

How does one apply to this contest? Is there a website of Shivajinagar Doctors’ association where one can apply online? Or, is there an office of the association where one can pick up forms from?
