The city unit of Bank of India defeated the Tech Mahindra at the ongoing Avinash Bhosale International Limited Corporate Cricket Challenge Cup tournament which is being played in the city.
Under the cloudy condition in the city at Gymkhana Ground, Tech Mahindra team won the toss and bowled for the first inning against the BOI. Though the Teach Mahindra had to put down their weapons in the first winning, they made it difficult for the BOI to make the targeted runs.

The entire condition seemed somewhat difficult for the BOI, but suddenly Siddhesh Kinlikar began to hit the Tec Mahindra bowlers all over the ground. Kinilkar contributed 97 runs off 58 balls for the BOI. The BOI also started hitting the Mahindra when Yogesh Ghate joined the party and scored a triumphant 53 off just 20 balls including 3 fours and 5 sixes. BOI set the target of 190 runs for the Tech Mahindra to win the match.

While countering BOI, Tech Mahindra put down its all weapons as they lost early wickets. The only player from the Tech Mahindra who kept the hope alive for a while was an opener Sagar Das. He made 57 runs off 34 balls including 4 fours and 5 sixes. Another player who supported the team was Sachidanand Joshi who made 38 runs off 35 balls.
As the runs kept mounting, all the hopes they had for winning the game started vanishing. They lost the hope when their star player Ritesh Joshi who got out by making 42 runs off just 16 balls.

But at the end Sameer Apte and Asubhash Ranjane (3/38) made the way for Bank of India as Teac Mahindra team was in need of the four runs off one ball, but failed to make and lost the match by four runs.
