It’s time to rock and roll. It’s official now that Pune will play host to Canadian rock-star Bryan Adams next year. The internationally renowned artist will be touring five cities in India, namely Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Hyderabad, with Pune being his first stop where music-lovers will get the opportunity to listen to some of the mesmerizing numbers of Adams at Amanora entertainment arena at Amanora Park Town in Hadapsar on February 11.
This being the first major rock concert to be held in the city, Aniruddha Deshpande, MD, City Corporation Ltd, said, “We know that Bryan Adams is someone who is loved by all. People between the age group of 8 to 81 years listen to him. We are definitely exited and looking forward to this event.”
Earlier, Bryan Adams performed in Mumbai in the year 2006.
“People who come in to see his concert will spend a great night listening to his hits, bringing back some old memories and creating some new,” said Bryan’s tour producer for India, Richard Coram.
Puneites must gear up to listen to some of his legendary rock-n-roll numbers like ‘Summer Of 69’, ‘Run To You’, ‘18 Till I Die’ and ‘Everything I Do’. Bryan Adams will also perform on songs from his latest album ‘Bare Bones’, which is an inspired collection of minimally arranged hits gathered from Bryan Adams’ inspiring body of work spanning over three decades.
The musical prodigy has sold over 65 million records, toured six continents and has achieved number one status in more than 40 countries. “I am a great fan of Adams and I can’t believe that he is coming to Pune to perform. It is great opportunity for music-lovers to listen to him live. I can guarantee that the crowd will go mad when he sings his world famous number ‘Summer of 69’. I can’t wait to see him perform,” said Ira Natu, a student of Fergusson College.
The tickets for the concert will be on sale from December 1.
