While speaking with the media on Friday, director of, C-DAC said that “There is growing demand for High Process Computing (HPC) professionals and manpower in India and abroad. This software will come in handy to develop this manpower.” The software Onama will be launched on Saturday at Technology Symposium at College of Engineering.
The Onama will benefit future scientists and engineers with HPC proficiency which is suitable software for streams like computer science, mechanical, electronics, electrical, life sciences, chemical engineering and telecommunication are among others.
The existing software’s that are available in the market are very expensive and can be afforded only by the likes of Indian Institute of Technologies. We realized the need for a cheaper software and came up with the idea of Onama, which is low-cost and can be affording by any medium range engineering institute
Goldi Mishra, group co-ordinator and head of the HPC Solutions Group, C-DAC, informed.
The Onama will especially be useful for those engineering institutions which are running short of the funds. So, they can install this software at their colleges as per their necessities. The software will price between 5 to 5o lakhs depending upon the requirement of that particular institution.
This software will be launched in the workshop that has been organized to brief about the benefits and advantages of this software.

Can anyone help me? My ribes s. has stopped developing beyond bud level, which buds have been showing for months. This plant has been robust for the last few seasons having grown from a 2.5-ft potted plant to over 6 ft. in the yard. This problem occured last year to one stem out of 5 or 6 1/4-3/8 stems arising out of 2 main 1 “trunks.” Last year’s affected stem was removed then and seemed dead. Now I am concerned the whole plant has died or otherwise has been affected. A scion planted about 40 ft away in same soil and conditions is doing fine. Any ideas.
