When parents of Chandraprakash came to know that he was selected for the OTS (Officers Training Academy), they were overjoyed. Well, many parents would, the fact is that Chandraprakash hails from a humble family and his father is a worker in a copper mine in Rajasthan. The success story of this 20-year old is inspires all those who dream to fulfill their career aspirations.
Chandraprakash will join the academy on October 6 in Chennai and will get training for eleven months. After this, he will join the Indian Army as an officer. This boy’s father has received education only till the fifth grade and his mother is homemaker. However, his parents always encouraged him to pursue his studies.
After finishing his XII from his hometown, Khetrinagar, Chandraprakash managed to get admission in an agriculture college in Kolhapur through a centralized admission procedure. After completing his graduation, he also cleared the written exam for CDS (Combined Defense Services). He came to Pune in order to prepare for the SSB (service selection board).
Once in Pune, he worked hard to fulfill his dreams to pass the interview. He received training from Lt. Col. (ret) Pradeep Brahmankar, who runs the Apex Careers. He worked hard to achieve his dreams. He had always wanted to join the army. Although he has many relatives who work in the Indian army, he will be the first person from his village to become an officer.
Lt. Col. (ret) Brahmankar said that “It is not easy for youths like Chandraprakash to reach the officer level. They find it tough to get noticed, and even if they get noticed, not all can walk the right path”. He said that many youth from the villages want to join the army but they cannot become officers because proper guidance and training. There is need for the youth to broaden their perception that they can fulfill their career aspirations. Brahmanker has been training many aspirants for more than ten years now.
The story of Chandrasekhar is one that inspires the youth to work hard and achieve something in life. His parents are very proud of him. Chandrashekhar has become the role model for his siblings who are still in school now. His strong will, determination and hard work made him get through the tough interview.
