Technology can be useful at the same time harmful. This has been proved by the incident happened on the country’s busiest Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), where CSIA’s official website was hacked by some unknown person on Tuesday.
The hacker, after achieving complete command over the website, entered some text in Urdu and put some pictures on the website.
It was realized after a visitor, Sanjay Shirolkar, logged in to the CSIA website in search of the flight information. He was astounded by the endeavor, when he realized the web has been hacked, and he without more ado reported it to a media reporter.
Since my relatives were supposed to come from New York to Mumbai and their flight was to land at CSIA, I wanted to know the arrival time. So I visited the website. That’s when I saw that it has been hacked. No information was available
said Shirolkar.
This is a sensitive issue, as it is a question of security. It happened to the website of one of the country’s international airports. It shows the authorities are not careful
he added.
However, it was oblivious to the airport authority itself if the website has been hacked.
We do not have any information about such hacking of the CSIA’s website. When we checked the site it was functioning well
