The regional center of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Pune has organized the conference on traditional system of medicine- ‘Ayurveda and Unanai’ on 14th November. Ayurveda practitioners from all over the country are coming together to attend the conference at the Balgandhrav Rangmandir at 12:30 pm. This is a two day conference which will give surgery update on Ayurveda and Unani 2009.
The issues which will be discussed here are ‘Indian system of medicine and the practice,’ ‘Education and efforts to promote Ayurved globally’, where experts in the field will guide the budding ayurveda practitioners and will insist them to emphasize on the practice of the same rather than the other medicine systems available around us.
The chief guest of the event will be State forest minister Patangrao Kadam while the minister of power and irrigation, Ajit Pawar and the minister of medical education and drugs, Vijayakumar Gavit will be special guests at the function.
Also, the secretary of medical and education department of Maharashtra University, Miling Mhaiskar and the president of Ayurveda council of India, Raghunanadan Sharama will be present on the dice. The MUHS’s vice Chancellor Mrudula Phadke will preside over the session.
