City based trio including Rohit Rangnathan, Shubam Puranik and Vikram Kumar, students of the Symbiosis Center for Information Technology in Hinjewadi have unknowingly made their first business venture. The project this trio was working on was a part of their curriculum which later turned out to be an opportunity. They have launched a web portal called BharatAsk.

These students have made special enterprise to promote the ideas of students

Vikram said,

BharatAsk is one of the latest free classified advertising sites. The goal of BharatAsk is to create long-term shareholder value by enhancing its position as a leading local search service.

BharatAsk was launched taking into mind that it will create a platform for people across the country to come together and share their experiences

he said.

Rohit added,

BharatAsk intends to generate revenue by means of targeted ads from third-parties which will ensure that operational expenses are met. In the initial phase we are planning to capitalize on the Indian market and then going forward we intend to leverage the BharatAsk brand and know-how for an international franchise.

What’s more, the web portal does not ask you to register to post ads on the site. All that is necessary is to select the area you want to put your ads in. Bharatask allows you to put as many ads as you want to put on.

One more interesting thing of this web portal is that you can extend the validity of ad display on the site simply by clicking on the reminder link sent to you.

the major categories of classifieds given on the website are jobs, matrimonial, for sale, real estate, items wanted and services which are further divided into more granular categories. It aims to bridge the gap between the suppliers and customers by providing value by connecting source to destination.
