Pune: An infamous criminal, Sada Shetty, was gunned down in a police encounter, near Chandani Chowk on Tuesday morning at around 6 am.
It is believed that Sada Shetty was in the city for some days and thus city police got the hint of his being in an undisclosed place near Chandani Chowk. The team of police planned the trap before he leaves the city in the dark hours of Tuesday morning. Police opened a fire when he was trying to escape.
As per the information, there were around 16 cases filed against him in different police stations across the State. He was wanted in all of those cases.
When tried to talk about the incident to senior police, they declined to say anything regarding this and said the further investigation will soon be started.
