In an effort to curb water, air and soil pollution in Pune division and other parts of Maharashtra, the state government has decided to come up with an environment plan for every village. Jayant Patil, the state rural development minister said in a press conference that the environment plans will be introduced within the next year at village levels.
“We have already asked the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to suggest consultants on who would guide us in formulation and implementation of the project,” Patil said while addressing a press conference in Pune.
In order to make the plan effective, its implementation will be done in phases. In the early stages, a cluster of most polluted villages will be formed (with a population of more than 10,000) in every district.
A thorough study will be carried out on the levels of pollution in villages and on the basis of the findings; the environment plan will be implemented within the next year.
“The plan will be taken for implementation in every village within a period of two years. In the first phase, the plan will be employed at a couple of places each in Pune, Kolhapur, Raigad, and Thane,” Patil went on to say. He also congratulated Pune division for doing a remarkable job by planting more than two crores of saplings in six months from February this year.
Around 4,747 villages in five districts in Pune division have been listed under the eco-village project. The motto of the project is ‘one citizen, one plant’, and it basically aims to generate more awareness among people on afforestation. Under the programme, each plant has been tagged and in order to monitor the growth, maps of the plantations have been prepared.
“I believe that the initiative is a noble one and will certainly prove to be a boon in curbing pollution levels in Pune division. But the government should not act callous and make sure that the environment plan is implemented fittingly,” says Jyoti Shinde, a resident of Khadki.

One thing I would like to say is the fact that before purchasing more pc memory, look into the machine directly into which it would be installed. If your machine is usually running Windows XP, for instance, the particular memory threshold is 3.25GB. Using in excess of this would merely constitute any waste. Be sure that one’s motherboard can handle your upgrade amount, as well. Interesting blog post.
