We’ve all heard that girls mature faster than boys, and there are surveys that even prove the theory. This fact actually leads to another interesting fact. Because girls mature faster, they tend to study harder and learn faster – which ofcourse results in the current scenario in schools all across Pune City. The young women of Pune have come out on top in the national Board exams, making progress and setting this truth in stone
The Indian Certificate for School Examination (ICSE) results are out, and kids across the city have been rushing to their computers to find out their fate since Wednesday. Most of the schools in the city are claiming a 100% success rate. Not only did some schools see all of their students go through the finals, most of the students made really good scores.
St. Mary’s School produced the city’s toppers in the Board Exams with Tanvi Modi and Srishti Dhamija made it through at 98.4 per cent. The highest score made by an ICSE student was 98.8 per cent and was bagged by yet another girl, Jhanvi Thosani, from Mumbai.
A school that had 222 students appearing for the ICSE, St. Mary’s has managed to earn itself a superb reputation. All of the students in the school have gotten through with either a distinction or in first class. St. Helena’s, another girls’ school, had the same fate with all their 186 students bagging either a distinction or a first class.
The people of Pune congratulate everyone who has cleared their Board exams and tell those who didn’t not to lose heart, there always will be next year. Do a summer course, take extra classes this time around and move on ahead.
