First of all, thanks for the excellent advice you have been doling out to everyone on this forum!
I had a question regarding the kind of guitar that would suit my needs..I’ve been playing the guitar on & off for over 5 years now. I have a very basic acoustic guitar that I had purchased initially. I want to move on to a better guitar now but am confused if I should stick to an acoustic-electric guitar or if I can try my hand at a Fender Telecaster…I know for sure that an acoustic-electric will do the trick, but I have very little idea about a Fender Telecaster. I’ve heard the Fender Strat and I’m sure I don’t want that..Can the telecaster be used for chords such as Roobaroo (Rang De Basanti) or Neele Neele Ambar Par?? Or will the sound be too harsh for chords in these songs?
Also, please let me know if you have any other recommendation. I would also like to understand the prices for these guitars & your mode of delivery..

Hi Friends,
I am looking for a good Guitar in the range of Rs 5000. I am an absolute beginner. I am lefty but not completely. I can also play like a righty. I have been suggested guitars like GC, GB&A, Pluto and Granada which are in the range of Rs 3500-4000. In the class of an acoustic-electric guitar, I think the ‘Hobmer’ will be the best option which will cost in the range Rs.2500-5500. But I would suggest to go for the JUMBO SIZED- F CUT GUITAR as it sounds very well. Also ‘Hobmer’ has designed its sound box such that we not only play the guitar but also we ‘feel’ it…which is the main purpose behind playing music.
‘Granada’ is another option. Don’t ever go for ‘Givson and other China made guitars’, especially who are music lovers…
