After experiencing some chilly evenings, Puneites finally breathed a warm sigh of relief as the minimum temperature went up to 7.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. However, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said that the temperature is still below normal for this time of the year. On Monday night, Pune had recorded its second lowest temperature for December in the last decade. 
“The temperature has gone up a bit and the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 7 degrees mark over the next two days. The usual normal minimum temperature for this time of the year is 10 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, night temperatures were also below normal in central Maharashtra, Konkan, Marathwada, and Vidarbha,” said an IMD official. The coldest city in the state was Wardha, at 4.7 degrees Celsius, followed by Jalgaon at 5 degrees C. Other cities that recorded temperatures less than 10 degrees Celsius includes Aurangabad (8.3), Nashik (5.4), Akola (8.6), Satara (8.9), Malegaon (8.0), Nagpur (8.1), Parbhani (7.5), and Solapur (9.5). “The weather was very cold during the last couple of days, but yesterday the air got a lot warmer. Pune has never seen such cold evenings, and though it gets a little difficult to get out anywhere after the sun goes down, still the air is filled with feeling of festivity and happiness. I am enjoying this weather a lot,” said Aditi Sharma, a student in Pune. - Siddhartha Laik

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
