The Pimpri-Chinchawad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is planning to inaugurate the Citizen’s Facilitation Centers (CFCs) at zonal offices. The centers will be opened before August 10 at four zones and will function on a public-private partnership basis.
According to the municipal commissioner Ashish Sharma, these centers will help to reduce the rush at PCMC main building. He also added that the work on the new CFCs is in progress. The construction of CFC at Pimpri-Chinchwad is expected to complete this week. He added that they are planning to complete the constructions of all centers before August 10.
At these facilitation centers, the citizens will get important documents such as caste certificates, permission for getting municipal halls or for trimming trees and no objection certificates. The citizens usually face a lot of problems to get these documents because of long queues.
About hundred visitors give visit to CFC in Pimpri-Chinchwad every day where 58 services are provided at the place. At the time of school admission process, there were long queues in June to get caste certificates and other documents.
These four CFCs are, Zone A office at Bhel Chowk in Nigadi, Zone B office near vegetable market, Chapekar Chowk at Chinchwadgaon, Zone C office near Hockey stadium in Nehrunagar and Zone D office near Jagtap Dairy, Pimpale Saudagar.
