Pune recovering from the bomb blast in German Bakery

You’re never going to keep us down…

Saturday, 13th February became a day that was never to be forgotten by all Puneites. The first terrorist attack on Indian soil, not even 15 months after 26/11 shook many a heart. German Bakery has always been synonymous with Pune. For, Pune is German Bakery and German Bakery is Pune. And we know for a fact it will bounce back with great spunk and heart.

German Bakery has always been a part of Pune’s rich history. From the young to the old, the locals to the foreigners, to the patrons who not only came from every street of this city but every city around the world, just to have a unique feeling about its ambience and atmosphere. Just to hang out with cultures of all kinds. Just to have some fun.

German Bakery is a story that began in 1987, by a local who returned home determined to introduce European cuisine to us puneites. And that’s exactly what it did, whether it was its brilliant coffee and omelets for breakfast or its sandwiches and strudels for the early evening, German Bakery was on every one of its passerby’s mind. Sadly, tragedy befell upon Koregoan Park on that uneventful evening.

German Bakery in Koregaon ParkToday as I write this, the area where German Bakery once stood so crowded is cordoned off. There lay memories, especially of those who lost family and friends. Ten innocent people killed and a further 60 more injured. The motives of which still unclear… The police say investigations are ongoing as two suspects were arrested today after they were caught on CCTV footage that came from the hotel across German Bakery.

An international outfit, a local group or motiveless rebellion? Nobody knows who, nobody knows what they were doing here or even what they wanted. Questions like these may never have answers. But even if they do, ‘they’ and their estranged clan… ‘these’ so called ‘terrorists’ should know that they can never deter the spirit of humanity, the spirit of Pune. Or even India for that matter.

You may knock us down, but we’ll get up again, you’re never going to keep us down!

Jai Hind.

One thing I'd lіkе to comment оn is that weightloss routine fast is possіble bу thе correct diet and exercise. Someone's size not оnlу affects appearance, but alѕo the actual quality оf life. Self-esteem, despression symptoms, health risks, and alѕо physical abilities arе affected іn weight gain. It іs рosѕіblе to do еvеrуthing right whilst ѕtіll having а gain. If thіs haррens, а problem maу bе the primary cаuse. While an excessive amount food and nоt enough exercise are usuаllу at fault, common health conditions and popular prescriptions can easily greatly amplify size. Thanks for yоur post right here.

Thanks for your strategies. One thing I have noticed is that banks plus financial institutions really know the spending habits of consumers and as well understand that the majority of people max outside their credit cards around the vacations. They properly take advantage of this specific fact and then start flooding your current inbox as well as snail-mail box along with hundreds of Zero APR card offers shortly after the holiday season ends. Knowing that if you are like 98% of the American public, you’ll get at the one opportunity to consolidate personal credit card debt and switch balances for 0 annual percentage rates credit cards.

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance. I must say you have done a great job with this. In addition, the blog loads super fast for me on Firefox. Superb Blog!

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
