The invention of new technology does not really mean that it helps to diminish the importance of religion in our day-today life, rather it’s a part of it
said DR Absar Ahmad, senior scientist from the city-based National Chemical Laboratory (NCL).
He stated this while inaugurating an international symposium on ‘Science Dialogue in the World of Nanoscience: The Encounter between the Mystery of Science and the Mystery of Religion’. The seminar was inaugurated on Friday in Lonavala.
Nanoparticles will be able to provide health and comfort to humanity. Thanks to the nanotechnological development, he hoped that focused and economic treatment to diseases like AIDS and cancer will be available soon
Dr Ahmad said.
While explaining the role of science in human development, Dr. Ahmad said, “science plays an important role in human progress and its place in human development is vital and an inevitable. Its rubbish that we keep on emphasizing that the advent of science has caused a great damage to the religion. But, that is not the case in reality,” he said.
He further said
With the use of fungi various nanoscince projects could be successfully carried out.
Prof Job Kozhamthadam welcomed the scientists came here for the symposium. There were about 150 scientists and professors present for the seminar in Lonavala. The guest of honor was given to Prof Vijay Kelkar, Dean of Nehru Institute of Moral and Social Science of the Tilak Maharshtra University, Pune. Dr Kelkar said that there is need to encourage the study of pure science as well as religion to sustain the balance in human life.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
