City based Europe Asia Business School (EABS) has organized a programme for its students to sell products made by an NGO on the street. The programme is a part of an assignment given by the institute which aims at giving its students a hands-on experience in retail management. Students will sell products of a Mumbai-based NGO to passers by and the collected money will be handed over to the same NGO.

The students of EABS will be doing their assignment called ‘Mandi on Fergusson Road and Jangli Maharaj Road.’ Thirty students of the one-year executive program will be participating in the event.

The idea is to give a real feel of the unorganized retail market to the students. As there is a different kind of dynamics involved in the working of this sector, there is no other way but to have a real experience of selling products on street to know this dynamics

said Uma Ganesh, CEO of Global Talent Track that runs EABS.

According to Ganesh, It will be a really tough task for students as they will have to bear all the heat and convince passers-by to buy their products.

The products are created by students of VJTI, Mumbai. These are scientific toys based on Physics principles. The students will have to know the product well before going on streets

said Ganesh.

Students who will participate in the event will be given a target.
