Munch Into Sugar-Free Ladoos This Diwali
Good news for diabetic community in Pune. Laxmi Raod based Sarpotdar Cateres has come up with unique sugar-free motichur ladoos along with their fair price Diwali sweets pack.
The delicious yet light on body ladoos and Diwali packs will be available in their mobile ladoo selling counters and on demand through an SMS. Kishor Sarpotdar, owner of Sarpotdar Caterers in association with the Poona Guest House have decided to provide special Diwali snacks, including chivda, ladoos, karanji, shankarpali, among others, in a box of 1.25 kg on a no-profit basis for Rs 200.
“I introduced mango modaks–the favorite sweet of Lord Ganesha– and its success further inspired me to come up with something special during Diwali as well. I surveyed the market in and around Pune and didn’t find a single shop selling sugar-free motichur ladoos. That’s when the idea clicked in my mind,” said Sarpotdar.
Sweet-lovers, who cannot travel all the way to Laxmi Road to buy these low-in-calorie ladoos can send an SMS to 9422080220, and the order will be delivered at their doorstep. However, the offer is valid only if a minimum of 10 kgs sweets is ordered.
“I am a diabetic patient and I am glad that now I can eat as much sweets as I want, thanks to these sugar-free motichur ladoos. It is good that sweet-makers are taking health issues in consideration while preparing such mouth-watering delicacies. It is not possible for every family to make low in sugar sweets at home. It’s always better to buy ready-made from stores. I am glad that this year I will have a more hearty and sweet Diwali,” said Diniar Ali, a resident of Koregaon Park.
