A Journey of Good Food and Ambience
When one enters The Ship, it is hard to figure out whether it’s actually a restaurant or a pub or kind of a resto-bar. The Ship, located at Kalyaninagar, Pune, has a decor, menu and an ambience, which gives a feel of a pub although being an out and out restaurant. The menu is impressive and it looks well-designed with a range of salads, spicy chilli coriander chicken, caesars, roast duck, grilled apple, warm mushroom, seafood and more. They also serve some mouth-watering appetizer platters in seafood, continental Indian, Lebanese mezze, among others.
Other than interesting appetizers, a decent main course, wraps and sandwiches, Indian kebabs and grills, pastas and risottos are also available. And if you are a vegetarian then you need not sulk, as The Ship has wide variety and tasty dishes to choose from, including tasty Falafel wraps, roesti in the appetizer section to asparagus crepes and lasagne in the main course.
And the list for Pune foodies doesn’t end here, the seafood, poultry and meat section is also ravishing with Australian John dory, maguro tuna, roast duck, fillet mignon and several other exotic chicken preparations. One must try out the sushi and starters like chilli tossed baby potatoes and kesari malai tikka. The main course of roast beef with mash, prawn curry and rice tastes like heaven. You can further pamper your sweet tooth from a wide-range of desserts. All the dishes are quite reasonable, and the ambience is soothing. But the decor needs a little bit of sprucing up to get rid of its pub-image and get a cozier feel.
“When I went to the Ship for the first time, I was extremely impressed by its ambience and food. Overall it’s a bit pricey, but one doesn’t mind paying a little bit more for some good food and experience,” says Swati Shinde, a resident of Koregaon Park.

This place has really bad waiter manners. Bring you the wrong dishes and then tell you thats what you ordered. Food is borderline horrible. Poor excuse for Pita bread and the pastas are ate a minimal effort. The best thing we had (6) of us was sun dried buschetta. Expensive and not worth the price. Go to Mcdonalds and save your money

DO NOT GIVE THIS RESTAURANT YOUR MOBILE NUMBER FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. THEY WILL SEND YOU EXTREMELY ANNOYING SMS MESSAGES MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY DAY. AFTER REQUESTING THEM TO REMOVE MY NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST TWO TIMES, AND EVEN SPEAKING WITH THEIR MANAGER, THEY ARE STILL BOMBARDING ME WITH THEIR UNWANTED MESSAGES. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN, WHICH BY THE WAY IS VERY MEDIOCRE QUALITY FOOD FOR VERY HIGH PRICES — WOULD RECOMMEND OTHERS TO AVOID THIS PLACE.
