Vitthal Rakhumai temple at Alandi is located on the banks of Indrayani river. This place is around 21 km away from Pune city. Alandi is also famous for samadhi and temple of great saint poet Sant Dnyaneshwar Mauli.

This place is crowded in the marathi month of Ashadh. At this time, palakhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar maharaj is carried to Pandharpur. Around 2 lakhs piligrims are gathered on this occassion. Most of them are from Warakari Sampraday.
